Listen (?) to Bill Withers HAVE A LOVELY DAY....

CARE SUGGESTIONS

If you take reasonable good care of your boots they will last for many years.

So what's "REASONABLE CARE" ?

MOISTURE KILLS : One day "ON", one day "OFF"....if you can more or less follow this tip it will allow any moisture to dissipate. Moisture eats away and weakens the fibres of all the natural shoe materials. Seams are weakened too.

FEED THE LEATHER : Leather is "skin" which has been tanned to make it long lasting. Like your own skin, the leather will benefit from an occassional (once a month) application of a shoe cream using a dry cloth.
Before applying the cream, clean your boots with a wet sponge cleaning away any and all dirt.

OUTERSOLE REPLACEMENT : When the rubber lugs are worn down to 2mm - 3mm I suggest having your local shoe repair shop replace the entire outer sole plate and heel as needed.
How long will your rubber outsoles last ? This depends on your weight, your walking gate and how many days you wear your boots / week.
As a rough guide ? For a guy (13 stone), wearing the the boots 4 days / week, I'd expect the rubber outersole to last for between 18 - 36 months.

LACES : the cotton laces may be the first component which would need replacing. Send us an email and we'll replace them.
